POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Commercial Operations Coordinator position actively assists in facilitating the achievement of Planning & Strategy goals through analyzing data, special project work, involvement in numerous cross functional teams, and providing recommendations for action to management. The individual will have the opportunity to interact with Commercial field personnel and the Commercial Leadership team, as well as internal business partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the Commercial response to terminal downtimes, planned terminal maintenance, and Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) RATA tests at MPLX terminal assets. Collaborates with Terminal Planning group and impacted Commercial groups to minimize impacts to customers.
Facilitates the various types of New Product Realization (NPR) processes related to adding products and classes of trade to existing terminals and adding new terminals to MPCs supply portfolio.
Uses experience, knowledge, and engagement with stakeholders to proactively identify improvement opportunities to existing processes. Recommends and leads efforts to implement improvements to increase productivity and efficiencies.
Manages Commercial subscription services by managing users for those subscriptions, facilitating accurate payments, assisting in negotiations with vendors and internal supply chain.
Manages the Commercial subscription budget and maintains understanding of actual spend vs. budget along with variance explanations. Has a thorough understanding of subscription service offerings to help commercial teams when signing up for services and to find synergies and cost savings through optimization projects.
Leads discussions with stakeholders to promote consistent methodology and improved processes Coast-to-Coast related to operational systems and processes such as NPRs, New Product Setups, and Seasonal Product Start-Up/Shut Down.
Serves as a liaison between multiple groups to ensure alignment and help complete projects accurately and on time. Often leads the communication and serves as project lead for the various teams.
Manages coordinating responsibilities independently and has built relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of commercial.
Facilitates the Business Recovery Team (BRT) and New Business Realization (NBR) process to help Commercial respond and prepare for value chain disruptions and/or new commercial ideas and opportunities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree required, or five (5) years of experience in lieu.
Seven (7) or more years of experience required.
