Job Description:

Are you tired of your routine retail pharmacy job, limited to filling prescriptions and counting pills, rarely getting to put your full range of health knowledge to work? Do you have a keen interest in the latest research on dietary supplements and healthy living, wishing you could help people learn about them as well as fill their traditional pharmaceutical needs? Do you love the idea of compounding to make individualized solutions? We're looking for a full-time (4-5 days per week) pharmacist who is licensed in Maryland and ideally licensed in Virginia as well, to manage our pharmacy and to continue to grow our business nationally. You should love systems, processes and the use of technology to maximize operations. You must be a true people person who has extensive knowledge of traditional pharmacy, as well as knowledge of compounding, and a passion for dietary supplements, alternative remedies and therapies, and diet and lifestyle issues. You should be flexible, enthusiastic, and have genuine love of people.

We are Village Green Apothecary (in Bethesda, MD), and we think that America's healthcare system is broken. We want to help fix it with our unique approach to individualized health plans and prevention - combining the best of traditional pharmaceuticals, compounding, alternative remedies, and state-of-the-art knowledge. We've been around for 50 years, and our reputation is excellent. We actively bring individualized healthcare to our customers, creating healthier lifestyles and promoting preventative options, striving to get to the root cause of people's health problems instead of just treating symptoms.

At Village Green, you'll find: A great opportunity to work with other professionals who are passionate about their work. For the right person, this is a chance to work with people who care as much as you do and can help you learn and grow as you work with them. The chance to help customers one-on-one with a full range of health options - not just counting pills and filling orders. An unequaled position with a long-established institution known for its community service, broad range of products, and top-notch reputation.
