Position Title Lead Custodial Technician (Andover Campus) Job Duties
The Lead Custodian is responsible for general upkeep and cleanliness of all college facilities. Additionally, this position oversees daily duties of other custodians and works with the supervisor to address needs.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
A. Ability to supervise and use independent judgment and accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
B. Must be neat and clean and take pride in own workmanship.
C. Must have practical knowledge of cleaning techniques, the use of industrial equipment and chemical products.
D. Must be able to establish a good rapport with students, faculty and general public.
E. Must be flexible in working routine in order to accommodate the many changes of college events.
F. Must be able to work late hours, weekends and split shifts.
G. Must be in good physical health.
H. Possess a valid Kansas driver's license.
I. Ability to lift 50 lbs. without limitations.
J. Knowledge of tile, wood, concrete and carpet floors.
K. Responsible for maintaining current MSDS sheets in own area.
L. Responsible for awareness of college's emergency procedures.
M. Ability to operate all custodial electrical equipment and train employees as directed.
N. Ability and responsibility to properly use various custodial cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and local, state, and federal laws.
O. Demonstrate initiative to perform duties with little or no supervision.
Required experience
A. Minimum of three years of general custodial experience.
B. Supervisory experience preferred.
Required educational background
High School diploma or equivalent.
