5 DAYS - IN HOUSE JOB TITLE: Lead Custodian DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC SERVICES/ROADS SALARY: Depending on Qualifications/Experience CLASSIFICATION: REGULAR/FULL TIME OPENING DATE: September 12, 2024 CLOSING DATE: September 18, 2024 JOB SUMMARY/DUTIES: Under the Direct Supervision of the Program Manager of Facility Maintenance, the Lead Custodian is responsible for Custodial staff and the work areas of all Tribal Building's, whom do not have an In house Custodian. Lead Supervisor will assist in performing routine maintenance of all Tribal building and its departments. The Custodial crew will maintain the general labor work of average difficulty in a variety of mild to severe environmental weather conditions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Possess Job Knowledge & Maintenance job skills. Lead Custodian is a position that requires the lead to clean and maintain daily, an equal portion of Tribal Buildings. Lead to be responsible in directing custodial staff and addressing any issues with building cleanliness. Lead Custodian will adjust schedules when other employees have leave from work. Possess use of hand tools, such cleaning tools with knowledge & skills. Must have knowledge of cleaning supplies and its daily uses on a daily basis. Willing to forward Work orders to the departments who need more work on their facilities, beyond Custodial crew. Willing to be assigned to driving, transporting, for special events if requested by Supervisor. Conduct daily routines with buildings and log all necessary documents. Lead Custodian will Inventory and Maintain ordering and stock all cleaning supplies& solutions, paper products. Other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisors/Managers/Director(s) as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a High School Diploma or a GED Certification, or working on GED, must obtain within 12-18 months. Must possess a Valid Driver's License and be eligible for tribe's insurance or be able to obtain within 12 months. Ability to understand and follow directions. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and random test thereafter as required. Must be willing to work with minimal amount of supervision. Must be able to follow work assignments, tend to task, and complete projects. Must be able to walk, climb, and work under mild to severe environmental weather conditions. Ability to push 60 pounds (power cleaning appliances), ability to lift minimum of 50 pound trash and supplies. Must be able to complete written reports if need be. Able to organize, manage, and control workflow assignments. Able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with employees and coworkers.
