Job Description:
This role will be responsible for business-led development for the GCO, specifically leveraging our data lake and SQL environments for reporting and analytics. Additionally, this role will maintain and transition several access databases to longer term, more sustainable solutions. This role will develop and support business configuration of technology systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and support ongoing reporting or queries where GCO data lake is the source.
  • Actively explore and investigate data to build/enhance reporting and analytics.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting for existing Board Reporting tool using VB queries in Excel and work towards transition to Columbia Threadneedle data source.
  • Support ADV filing process using SQL and SSIS/SSMS processing.
  • Support Field Office Inspections Scheduling Tool.
  • Creation and ongoing development of MS Power BI reporting and data enablement for Investment Compliance team.
  • Support GCO data lake enablement through development and use of data lake tools, such as AWS Athena, MS PBI, QuickSight, Dataiku.
  • Troubleshoot/problem solve on data source/reporting issues; support data lake users on data.Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputed university with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience and skills developing/working with data lakes and connecting tools (e.g., AWS Athena (queries and views), QuickSight, MS PBI).
  • Expert knowledge of MS Power Tools (SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, Power Automate/Apps/BI, SQL (SSIS, SSMS, SSRS)).
  • Strong experience with MS Excel and Access, programming languages: SQL (SQL Server), VBA, PowerShell, DAX, SAS (preferred).
  • Robust understanding of data structure and relational databases; understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Strong systems analysis skills, including data mapping, deconstructing code.
  • Strong analytical skills, inter-personal and communication skills and ability to work on multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of technology standards and controls.
  • Knowledge of developing Power BI reporting utilizing data sources other than SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Data Lake environments.
