$100,000 - $120,000 plus bonus

Are you interested in being the person to transform the editorial output of an organization and introduce them to the possibilities of data journalism?

This is a position with a news service with a genuine claim to being a leader in their field. They cover the secretive world of private equity, where journalistic flair and charisma are required to prize information out of the market. As their first data journalist hire you will collaborate with editorial directors, use internal and external data to pitch stories, and help to develop the data skills of your colleagues around the world.

You will creating unique and compelling stories that will not only interest but also provide insightful information on the activities of the private investment space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draw from a variety of internal and external databases to create visual stories and data-driven reporting
• Educating your colleagues around the world to augment their versatility in data journalism
• Applying data analytical tools to uncover any hidden stories in the private equity industry

We are looking for:

• An experienced data journalist
• An interest or knowledge of the financial markets and private equity
• Experience using tools like Python, Excel, Tableau, or Datawrapper
