Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Lead Data Product Owner for our Enterprise Solutions - Data-Digital-Inno team.
This job can be done hybrid on our Lincoln, RI campus.
This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.
Salary:
This is a full-time position based on a 37.5-hour work week. The starting annual salary is between $113,000 - 155,000, based on level of previous experience and/or applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for the company's annual variable incentive paid based on company performance. Additional commission opportunities may apply to customer facing sales and service representatives.

Position Summary:
The Lead Data Product Owner is a key role for Amica, responsible for maximizing value and representing the business in the creation and delivery of critical data products. They are accountable for providing the vision for our data products and ensuring value delivery, in alignment with our enterprise and functional strategies and goals. Working with the business units, IT and vendors, ensures the data products appropriately support Amica's data, analytics, and AI aspirations.
Note that we have two current openings, with one dedicated to our digital data product needs and one dedicated to our State Management data product needs.
Responsibilities:
* Gather information from various stakeholders (both internal/external) and develop an overall product vision. Must be able to communicate that vision to stakeholders and the team.
* Develop and maintain the product roadmap, aimed at iteratively achieving the overall vision.
* Effectively communicate the product vision to critical parties and stakeholders and ensure that there is visibility into the product.
* Propagate knowledge of the product and its benefits to stakeholders and non-stakeholders alike.
* Determine the acceptable viability of releases to stakeholders. Communicate with and collect stakeholder input but act as the ultimate approver for any data product-related decisions.
* Help to ensure consistency and appropriate prioritization between the various backlogs impacting products.
* Work in collaboration with multiple teams engaged in delivery to ensure that they understand what is required.
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders.
* May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
Requirements:
* Requires a 4-year degree and/or 3-5 years' insurance experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
* Preferably 3 years' experience working with software solutions.
* Preferably 3 years' experience working in a software development environment using Agile and scrum frameworks.
* Preferably 3 years' experience leading a team to deliver a successful project.
* Excellent leadership, problem solving, decision-making and prioritization skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with upper management.
