Lead Engineer (Charlotte preferred Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham) 6-month contract (Hybrid on Site 3 days a week) $70.00 to $76.00 per hour Job Description Our client in the Fintech industry needs a skilled Principal Engineer to start and then join the leadership team as a leader. They are looking for a critical thinker and would assess the team when hired and will meet with the SVP to go over the individuals. They will be leading a team on developers and will be hands-on developing about 20% of the time. Ability to coach, teach, and mentor team. Ability to estimate work efforts for project sub-plans or small projects. Ability to work in an environment with aggressive timelines Demonstrates leadership Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, executive, management, individual contributors Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams and class models, where applicable. In-depth understanding of DevOps and formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes to applications that are being transitioned to SaaS / Cloud platforms. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): developing autonomous Dev/Sec Ops pipelines, application upgrades, and patching.
