Job Description:

Job Type Contract Description The Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the secure and compliant deployment of cloud solutions, aligning with Deloitte's Cyber Security requirements and compliance controls. The role also includes leading the design and implementation of a data ingestion workstream, utilizing Informatica (IDMC), Databricks, and Guidewire Cloud CDA. The Lead Engineer will configure infrastructure through code, build pipelines, and monitor cloud and on-premise applications, ensuring efficient and secure operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all deployed cloud solutions comply with Deloitte's Cyber Security requirements and compliance controls by leveraging templates, documentation, and reusable resources provided by Deloitte management.
  • Configure infrastructure as code (e.g., ARM templates for Azure, CloudFormation for AWS).
  • Design and implement build and release pipelines for cloud and/or on-premise solutions.
  • Monitor and support Deloitte cloud and on-prem applications using approved industry tools and best practices.
  • Respond to service requests from the development organization under Deloitte management guidance.
  • Participate in on-call rotations during normal business hours within your time zone.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data ingestion processes using Informatica (IDMC) and Databricks.
  • Integrate data from Guidewire Cloud CDA files into the broader data architecture.
  • Develop and implement data models, data mapping strategies, and data warehouses to ensure seamless data flow.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Guidewire Cloud CDA.
  • Proficiency with Databricks and experience in designing data ingestion workflows.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data mapping.
  • General knowledge of traditional network infrastructure, including firewalls and load balancers.
  • Experience configuring infrastructure as code using ARM templates for Azure or CloudFormation for AWS.
  • Experience monitoring and supporting cloud and on-prem applications.
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including workflows and support documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on integrating insurance-related data.
  • Strong experience with configuring build and release pipelines for cloud or on-prem environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with cross-functional teams and guide them through technical challenges.
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to quickly respond to service requests and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Knowledge of cyber security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
  • Ability to lead projects with a focus on data ingestion, integration, and infrastructure security.
