Job Family:Sustainability ConsultingTravel Required:Up to 10%Clearance Required:NoneWhat You Will Do:The Lead Facilitator will work with the OCED engagement team and location-based community partners to lead discussion-based events with the goal of listening to and learning from stakeholders and community members to inform the structure and content of future public engagement activities with OCED. Please note, we are not seeking candidates with specific topic/content knowledge expertise.Key responsibilities:* Assist in the adaptation of written and digital facilitation materials, including slide presentations, videos, and facilitation guides, to suit community needs for each engagement event. This may include changing phrasing, timing, or questions with community partner guidance.* Recruit [1] and/or train facilitators (about 15-16 facilitators for 100 person community forums and about 5-6 facilitators for 20-25 person community dialogues and stakeholder workshops) to lead table discussions with guidance and suggestions from community partners for each engagement event.* Coordinate or arrange question and answer protocols and procedures during engagement events.* Recruit and/or train notetakers, survey/vote collectors, and table conversation observers as required.* Develop and/or adapt training materials and host training for table facilitators on good engagement practices, facilitation guides, and table materials for each engagement event.* Lead each engagement event by guiding table facilitators and participants through their discussions by maintaining event timing, adhesion to facilitation guide, and ensuring conversations remain safe, fair, and productive.* Ensure timely distribution of all engagement materials (surveys, agendas, guides, background information, discussion materials, etc.) to participants and facilitators before, during and after engagement events.* Ensure timely collection and secure keeping of outputs (survey data, worksheets, activity boards, flip charts, etc.) produced by participants and table facilitators.* Assist in the coordination of event logistics as required (including pre and post event activities) for community dialogues of up to 25 people and large engagement events of up to 100 people.
