You will oversee a team of carpenters, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship while working closely with clients to meet and exceed their expectations. - Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a crew of 2-5 experienced carpenters. Ensure the team is working efficiently, maintaining productivity, and delivering high-end finish carpentry results.
- High-End Finish Carpentry: Perform expert-level finish carpentry tasks, including the installation of cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, molding, and custom wood features in clients' homes.
- Site Carpentry Lead: Act as the primary point of contact on-site, coordinating with subcontractors and managing day-to-day activities to ensure the project is on schedule and meeting quality expectations.
- Coordination & Communication: Work closely with clients and subcontractors to ensure projects run smoothly. Provide clear communication and customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
- Project Management: Plan and oversee daily carpentry tasks and ensure all work aligns with blueprints, specifications, and design requirements.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address installation challenges, providing creative solutions to maintain timelines and meet client needs.
- Worksite Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring quality craftsmanship at all times.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of finish carpentry experience, with at least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a carpentry role.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and lead a team of carpenters and coordinate with subcontractors on-site.
- High-End Craftsmanship: Demonstrated experience in high-end finish carpentry, delivering exceptional quality in every project.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service while working in clients' homes.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs+, work on ladders, and handle physical tasks in all weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
