Lead - Foundation and Corporate PhilanthropyPosition Title: Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy LeadOur Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy team is building a better world through charitable programs and projects for AEO Inc, our Brands, our AEO Better World Foundation, AE Foundation, Aerie Real Foundation, and our Associates. We support causes that are important to our associates and customers by making a meaningful impact in their communities through national and global charity partnerships. Through internal programs for our Associates, external programs and grantmaking, and the generosity of our dedicated customers, we are committed to making a real impact in our communities. The Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy team foster engagement, build community connection, and drive nearly $9 million in giving each year to local, national and international charitable organizations.
Position Summary:The AEO Inc. Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy team is seeking a full time Lead who will play an integral role in the execution of important functions, including managing the grantmaking process, supporting our Steven A. Davis Scholarship for Social Justice, executing internal and external fundraising and events, and overseeing financial reporting. This person must be ready to work within a small four person team, alongside the larger fast-paced corporate environment. Experience in nonprofit management, corporate or foundation giving, and/or fundraising/events will be critical to this position.
Responsibilities: - Manage the day to day operations of our Community and Signature Grant Programs, with a total of more than $2.5 million in giving annually, including community relationship building, database management, financial information, and impact reporting.
- Facilitate outreach and grow grantmaking to underrepresented areas in our community.
- Oversee fundraising efforts throughout the year, including our annual Count Me In campaign, our bi-annual Sample Sales, and provide support for our signature fundraising event, the AEO Foundation Golf Classic.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and maintain detailed records for internal and external programs across multiple payment platforms for all Corporate and Foundation giving.
- Support the Steven A. Davis Scholarship for Social Justice with payment processing, logistics and program management.
- Lead internal teams and committees to execute programs and events across our office and distribution center locations, such as the AEOmazing Race, and provide support for projects that build culture and community across our organization.
- Track and manage data and impact reporting/statistics for programs and projects across the organization, to drive engagement and measure program effectiveness.
- Work with the Corporate Communications team to plan, generate and share content that engages our internal and external audiences.
- Plan and support volunteering and give-back events throughout the year, including AEO Better World Community Day, our annual company give-back day.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications: - 3 + years experience in non-profit, fundraising, grantmaking or related fields.
- Experience with a CRM platform/contact management software.
- Knowledge of Google technology products, with emphasis on Google Sheets and/or Excel functions and Google App Scripts.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team in a dynamic environment.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and be on feet for extended periods of time
- This position will include a minimum of 1 - 2 days in-office at our South Side campus; in-office days fluctuate based on current events and programs.
PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION: - Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
