Purpose of RoleLEAD FP&A - GENERIC - May need to be updated to reflect specific business/regional focus. The Lead in FP&A will drive financial and strategic objectives across a specific corporate function. This role involves partnering with leadership to provide comprehensive analytics and insights, optimize ROI, and ensure alignment with global financial plans. Additionally, it involves developing financial models, consulting with senior management, and enhancing commercial effectiveness.Your Impact
  • Develop & maintain planning/forecasting process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for business functions, including a partnership with Regional FP&A partners to monitor Global functional spend.
  • Drive month-end close for corporate services, including preparation of journal entries to support the close process.
  • Partner with cross-functional business leads on forecast expectations and strategy development.
  • Analyze drivers of month-end variances versus budgets and drive accountability around cost-saving initiatives
  • Leverage financial systems to create and distribute timely management reporting of performance against forecast.
  • Work with business unit leaders and their teams to provide ad-hoc support relative to key strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively build and manage relationships with cross-functional colleagues and business leaders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Previous experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Business Analytics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively articulate ideas, results of financial analysis, and actionable recommendations; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively build and manage relationships with cross-functional colleagues and business leaders
  • Ability to handle confidential information and to strictly adhere to company policies for information disclosure
  • Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
  • SAP/BPC/IBPf or Hyperion experience preferred
Workplace Location
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation$101,682.00 - $139,812.20 USDMost new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
