Job Summary

Supervises the performance and reporting of all tests done in the assigned division.

Responsibilities:

Monitors the department's daily work practices to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Performs financial activities, clerical and computer functions, staffing levels and competency of the division.

Exercises responsible stewardship of finance and human resources. Ensures the department provides quality service to all customers.

Oversees the department's operational functions to ensure optimal service. Participates in routine performance of procedures.

Maintain continuing education standards and competencies per department policy.

Actively involved in quality assurance program within the department.

Assists in orientation and training of new staff and students.

Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Medical Technologist (ASCP) specializing in Histotechnology credentialed from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Associate degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Histotechnologist
