Job Description (Posting). Position/Role : DevOps Administrator Critical Tools : Jira Cloud , Github Enterprise, Jenkins Experience : 3-8 Years Job Type : Full Time Job Location : United States ( US Citizen Only - NO Green Card or H1B1 Visa) We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Administrator, mainly on JiraCloud and Github tools to join us. As a DevOps Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining / supporting our DevOps infrastructure and practices to enhance the development and deployment of our Product Teams. Key Responsibilities: Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, and Administration of applications like Jira, and Github Work with development and design product teams to identify procedural efficiencies related to Jira, and Github Creating complex configurations in Jira such as workflows, custom fields, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes, security schemes,issue type schemes, webhooks, and integrations Implementing the configurations in Github such as organization, repository creation, actions, packages, webhooks, apps, integrations, management console functionalities and upgrade related activities Manage user permissions for Jira and Github according to the needs of projects and teams All the application related changes, requests, queries to be maintained and documented via ITSM ticketing tool and need to create the audit related reports w.r.t applications Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobs Provide configuration and administrative support of the tool suites i.e., Jira, Github and the key 3rd party add-ons Evaluate and manage the usage of the tools, add-ons and testing the new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility Work closely with the product teams to for supporting the issues related to Jira and GitHub Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement Ensure systems are stable, available and that user issues are addressed in a timely manner Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Understands organizational and business functions and makes sound decisions. Excellent communicator who can work with and influence all functions and levels. Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. Required Skills: Expertise in Administration with at least 2-3 years of experience working with DevOps tool suit i.e., Jira, GitHub and others 5+ years of IT experience, including system administrator experience. Expertise in migration of the applications like Jira from Onprem to Cloud and GitHub from one application to another Knowledge on Jira & Github Cloud environments, CI/CD Concepts Knowledge on scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, YAML, JSON, Rest APIs, and Shell Understanding of Cloud technologies such as GCP/AWS/Azure Knowledge on query languages such as MySQL/PostgreSQL and LDAP terminologies Knowledge on Linux and Window platforms Understand tools ITIL support and agile framework to ensure strong understanding of processes and deliverables Experience in performing installations, upgrades and migrations w.r.t Jira, and Github Knowledge on DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube, JFrog and other will be an added advantage (1.)
