Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Lead IT QA Consultant in CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA to support an Agency dedicated to the safety, health and security of 2.5 million workers and helping employers meet safety and health standards. The key functions include: Protecting the health and safety of workers | Ensuring medical care and financial help for injured workers | Protecting workers' wages, hours, breaks and more | Protecting the public from unsafe work and economic hardship.

The ProSidian Team works to provide expert level Information Technology (IT) Quality Assurance (QA) consulting services supporting a full cross-agency “business transformation” initiative intended to achieve the mission of keeping citizens in the state safe and working. Business transformation calls for modernizing the agency's extensive technology infrastructure and corresponding business processes over several years.

Lead IT QA Consultant Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and lead IT QA Consultant will conduct independent quality assurance (QA), Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), oversight and assessment activities in alignment with the Client Organizations requirements, policies, guidelines including but not limited to the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Policy 132. The focus will be made on enterprise professional services covering Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), Modified Commercial off The Shelf (MOTS), custom build applications/systems, etc. as part of System Modernization and Business Transformation (BT).

  • Provide IT QA consulting services during the specific timeframe defined under any authorized Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Lead QA methodology development and refinement in designing the right mixture of manual and automation tests.
  • Inform Client Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Development Teams, User Acceptance Testing, and functional representatives of risk factors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Document accomplishments and key Deliverables for the project.
  • Review the quality of deliverables and products produced by Client Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Development Teams, User Acceptance Testing, and functional representatives.
  • Meet regularly with the project team, as needed.
  • Attend required meetings with the project steering committee(s), agency leadership, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of project management processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Conduct project management reviews and assessments of client and vendor activities.
  • Support the delivery of all QA services, work products, and deliverables.
  • Work in an Agile environment and assist the development team in automating tests at multiple levels of testing.
  • Help establish and support a Quality Assurance framework for Automating Continuous Build (CB) / Automating Continuous Integration (CI)/ Automating Continuous Deployment (CD).
  • Work with business users in defining and writing User Acceptance Testing, test cases and plans.
  • Prepare and roll out testing methodology.
Qualifications

The Lead IT QA Consultant shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years. Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

Required Qualifications And Experience:

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with Project Management Institute (PMI) Preferred.
  • A Master Project Management (MPM) certification from a recognized college or institute Preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years providing QA services for a large scale (multi-million dollar) state or Govt. agency IT projects.
  • A combination of prior QA or PM experience totaling five (5) or more years providing services on IT projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or five (5) equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient Experience with automated testing applications/tools such as Groovy, Selenium, Junit, Cucumber.
  • Experience writing test plans and test cases and exposure to DevOps, Continuous Integration and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in resolving issues found in automated testing.

TRAVEL: Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at the CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA.
