Performs official team lead duties over subordinate employees overseeing projects, assignments and studies encompassing information technology. Provide essential specialized support and services (Technical, Engineering, Process, IT, Financial, Acquisition, Program Management, and Configuration Management) to System Program Offices (SPOs) and the 557th Software Engineering Squadron (557 SWES) to fulfill their overall mission.Qualifications:- U.S. Citizenship- Obtain & maintain Top Secret Security clearance- This is a designated Drug Testing Position- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)- Position may be eligible for Referral Bonus programRecruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:1. Leadership ability, including the ability to coach, mentor, inspire, motivate, guide, and challenge team members toward goal accomplishment and the ability to adapt leadership style to a variety of situations.2. Knowledge of a wide range of computer system theories, concepts, principles, and practices, procedures, policies, standards, operational requirements, and the ability to relate to user requirements.3. Specific in-depth knowledge of computer system security policies, technology, threats, and issues to include knowledge of IT INFOSEC security requirements for certification and accreditation, network operations and protocols, systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods sufficient to plan and conduct security accreditation reviews for installed systems or networks and assess and advise on new revised security measures and countermeasures based on the results of accreditation reviews.4. Knowledge of operational and performance characteristics of computer systems to develop procedures/ policies, practices for use.5. Knowledge of performance characteristics of computer equipment, systems, services, and transmission media to evaluate new devices, proposals, and approaches.6. Knowledge of associated methods and techniques such as contracting procedures/legal requirements, cost analyses, and budgets7. Ability to develop and conduct training on information security.8. Ability to analyze a variety of unusual computer conditions, problems, questions or conditions associated with formulating projects or studies.9. Ability to research patterns to develop new methods, criteria, or proposed new computer policies and procedures.10. Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3.
