Responsible for assisting warehouse supervisor/manager in achieving an efficient performance of all functions of the assigned operation. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

  • Assist Supervisor/Manager to determine workload assignments.
  • Communicate associate assignments daily and follow up to assure assignments are complete.
  • Work with associates in assigned area to improve associate skills.
  • Maintain sound associate relations communicating individual or group problems to management.
  • Prepare/delegate paperwork needed in the operations of the assigned area and maintain responsibility for any equipment necessary to complete said assignment.
  • Maintain contact with supervision and other departments in all areas of the warehouse for coordination of total warehouse operations.
  • Perform work activity within the area of operations when necessary.
  • Assume responsibility/accountability for efficient operation of assigned area.
  • Have ability to respond to customer demand and follow through as needed.
  • Learn all distribution systems and be able to work with operators to maintain those functions.
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate to associates.
  • Hold and conduct daily shift meetings at the beginning of the shift.
  • Enforce plan regulations, housekeeping, quality, and safety guidelines.
  • Should gather information and assist in writing corrective action and accident/injury report with the department supervisor/manager.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Must be capable of taking control of department in supervisors absence.
  • Aid in developing/conducting job specific and job-related training.
  • This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

The requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months distribution experience
  • Computer skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Must be certified in operation of all forklift equipment.
  • Be proficient with PC and RF functions.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of organization.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
  • Medium lifting 50-lbs maximum, frequent carrying of objects 25 lbs.+, walking or standing 50 % or more.
  • Ability to reason and make judgements and understand instruction and principles.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations clearly.
  • Ability to perceive pertinent detail in verbal or written material and to effectively proofread copy, words, and numbers.
  • Use words and their meanings effectively. Comprehend language, present information or ideas clearly.
  • Hearing is required to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings.
  • Vision is required to read instructions and interpret data.
