Rotating weekend shiftStarting Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourJOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Lead Laundry Attendant EXEMPT STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Environmental Services Director GENERAL SUMMARY: The Lead Laundry Attendant is responsible for assisting to maintain an organized and efficient laundry operation. The Lead Laundry Attendant will be responsible for delegating and coordinating the daily assignments of the Laundry Attendants. The Lead Laundry Attendant will work together with the team to maintain our standards of efficiency, cleanliness and infection control. The Lead Laundry Attendant will be responsible for leading our efforts and our commitment to providing a high quality level of service to all residents. Also, the Lead is responsible for maintaining excellent relations with the residents and promoting good departmental morale. The Lead Housekeeper's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Ensure that Avalon is consistently and adequately stocked with linens. Ensure that Stoneridge flat linens are processed accurately and delivered on time. Assist in investigating and resolving all claims of missing personal clothing or flat linens. Ensure that the daily checklist is completed as instructed throughout the shift. Assist with the completion of quarterly linen inventories. Inform the department Director of any linen shortages. Always maintain confidentiality of personal employee and resident information. Assist with the creation and adjustment of weekly laundry schedules. Meet and greet new Avalon Healthcare residents to label their personal laundry and ensure proper handling. OTHER DUTIES:
Attend in-service training and educational sessions as assigned. Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Director. Inform the department Assistant Director or Director of any concerns or ideas related to laundry operations. LCS Hospitality Promises

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Supervisory Experience required
- Laundry experience in a hotel, motel, nursing home, skilled nursing facility, hospital, rehabilitation center, etc, is a plus
- Ability and willingness to lead and delegate
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must possess the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
