Copper Vine has been open in downtown New Orleans for almost 5 years. Now we are expanding into Copper Vine Wine Pub & Inn!We are adding event spaces, guest rooms, a club, rooftop lounge and three brand new kitchens! We are so excited! We are looking for people who want to be a part of this new growth opportunity. With new expansions there are always new challenges. We believe we have a solid framework to work from. It has been a long journey to get us to where we are today and now we get to share it.A little about the Copper Vine Heart of House: Our kitchen culture is positive, professional and based in growth.   • Image: -Meeting and maintaining Concept Uniform and grooming Standards at all times.
  • Communication Skills: -Clear, concise, and consistent verbal and written communication among Team Members and Managers.
  • Language Skills: -Able to effectively communicate subject knowledge.
  • Punctuality-Must always be early for training shifts to prepare and lead by example.
  • Self-Motivated: -Shows initiative to learn and grow.
  • Organizational Skills: -Ability to organize and maintain prep list, orders and critical controls.
  • Time Management: -Sense of urgency consistently
  • Communication and Poise: -Must be able to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibly and rapport.
  • Lead by Example: -Setting a good example for all teammates by maintaining a professional and approachable image at all times. Ability to maintain composure in less than ideal situations.
  • Adaptability: -Able to adapt to less than ideal conditions for training as well as adapt training process and content to the new recruits' level of experience
  • Patience: -Able to be understanding and work calmly with all teammates
  • Teaching: -able to relay information in a manner the recruit comprehends
  • Subject Knowledge: -Must have thorough knowledge of all HOH recipes, specs, and responsibilities as well as the CopperVine concept and culture.
  • Support the other Chefs while building and growing your own management skills.
  • Be the relief to the other cooks on the line. Fill in the gaps wherever is needed.
  • You are the bridge between Sous Chefs and Line Cooks.
  • Teach, coach, and develop less experienced cooks on the line.
  • Run the hotline in absence of a Sous Chef ensuring the highest standards for food.
  • Growth of professional leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Lead kitchen cleanliness
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Chef de Tournant will be required to have a flexible schedule to ensure all recruits are coached during a variety shifts. Team Captains will be required to work days, nights, weekdays, and weekends and average 40 hours per week.
