Lead Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the Role: Join our team in a dynamic environment where collaboration, leadership, and professional growth are valued. As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you'll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and execute projects, oversee repairs, and mentor team members. This hands-on role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading production and facility equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in prioritizing and planning maintenance projects.
  • Delegate tasks to team members based on skills and experience.
  • Mentor and train maintenance technicians.
  • Inspect work for safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Perform emergency and scheduled equipment repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including advanced components such as PLCs, motors, and wiring.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (technical college preferred).
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in a lead maintenance role and 6 years in manufacturing maintenance, with expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fabrication, and industrial systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair, including motors, PLCs, and wiring systems (3 years preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with demonstrated experience mentoring technicians.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
