Job Title: Lead, Manufacturing Engineer - SMT Job Code: 18538 Job Location: Clifton, NJ Work Schedule: 2nd Shift Job Description: - Determine design approaches and parameters.
- Must have extensive knowledge with surface mount technologies.
- Experience in programming and troubleshooting SMT line automation equipment, including Screen Printer, Jet Printer, Pick & Place, SPI, AOI, reflow profiler, etc.
- Familiar with IPC/EIA J-STD-001C.
- Working knowledge of all SMT assembly and inspection processes.
- Working knowledge of PCB CAD data and equipment programming software, and databases.
- Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers.
Essential Functions: - Participate in Circuit Card Assembly design review for manufacturability.
- Design and procure Solder Stencil and pallet for various CCA.
- Generate reflow profile to support CCA production as well as rework.
- Create SPI, Jet printer, Pick & Place and AOI programming.
- Perform first article and AOI debug.
- Generate operation procedure and provide necessary trainings.
- Test, analyze, and evaluate the requirements compliance of L3 Harris hardware products.
- Set-up and utilize SMT Kit management tools, such as MyCenter and Mycronic Tower.
Qualifications: - Ability to work 2nd Shift.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
