RENK America is driven by this sense of pride and purpose in our country and our community.DescriptionThe Lead Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing operations. This role involves leading engineering projects and ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.Essential Functions:
  • Leader that is comfortable working on the floor with other ME's, maintenance and operators to ensure we keep production flowing and employees safe.
  • Support the production team by troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
  • Lead the development of process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct analysis of production date to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process enhancements.
  • Significant contribution to the setup and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
  • Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
  • Actively participates with engineering project teams to coordinate the release of new products.
  • Strong project management experience utilizing Microsoft project as a tool to meet timelines and manage resources.
  • Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans, projects and communicates them to internal and external customers.
Position RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience or Graduate's Degree and a minimum of 7 years prior related experience.
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
  • Complex analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Advanced understanding of lean manufacturing principles and six sigma.
  • Substantial knowledge of automation and process improvement tools.
