Job Description Leads team members to implement the day-to-day activities of the health system's Residency and Fellowship programs for the Office of Academic Affairs. Collaborates with the leadership and support staff (Training Program Administrators) to manage the appointment and reappointment of Residents/Fellows. Coordinates events for House Staff. Job Responsibility
  • Leads team members to implement the day-to-day activities of the health system's residency and fellowship programs including supervision of assigned staff.
  • Assists the Graduate Medical Education Committee with accreditation oversight; involves analyzing and entering data via the Annual Program Evaluation (APE) oversight process; participate as a member of the GME Policy and GME Educational retreat planning subcommittees.
  • Guides the initial appointment process for residents to the health system's house staff and national resident match program; ensures Sites, via support staff, complete and follow established recruitment and credentialing processes.
  • Ensures the authenticity, accuracy and timely submission of immigration papers for international medical graduates; reports any discrepancies or issues to the leadership.
  • Collaborates with team leaders to manage the annual reappointment process of the house staff; ensures all Resident performance evaluations and training credentials meet established guidelines; notifies site and OAA management of any issues.
  • Assesses needs, develops and conducts professional development training on an on-going basis for site training program administrators.
  • Maintains the data system (New Innovations) for resident information; collaborates with vendor on system issues as necessary.
  • Coordinates the preparation and distribution of resident diplomas and certificates; works with public relations to revise the resident/fellow recruitment brochure; creates, assess, revise annual program evaluation template.
  • Manages administrative office staff in absence of the leadership.
  • Uses knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways. Problems addressed are of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

    • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
