About this role
The Site Trainer is part of the Technical Training team and works in close collaboration with departments on developing and maintaining qualified employees. The trainer identifies and targets the training needs and priorities and trains the workers, while ensuring diligent follow-up and traceability of the training provided.
Your role will consist of
* In collaboration with the departments, evaluate job positions and identify training requirements
* Coordinate training logistics, scheduling of facilities, participants, and on the job trainers if needed.
* Conduct training such as inductions, equipment general safety trainings and refreshers.
* Offer support and coaching to on the job trainers to ensure quality standards are sustained.
* Audit training programs and records to ensure legislative compliance.
* Record keeping of attendance and assessment completions.
* Assist in the identification and assessment of continuous improvement opportunities within Technical Training
* Respect, know and promote the organization's rules/policies and procedures.
* Obtain and maintain any necessary training and or certifications to deliver training accordingly to legal requirements.
* Perform in-field / on the job assessments and observations and coaching to reinforce retention of competencies, skills and safety awareness
* Conduct field assessments on equipment operators for the purpose of Line Of Progression advancement
* Demonstrate an exemplary employee attitude and promote operational excellence and safety

Your Training, Skill & Experience checklist
Knowledge:
* Demonstrate openness, autonomy and facilitation skills

* High school diploma.

* Knowledgeable in interpretation of legal standards
Experience:
* 3 years Mining or other equivalent heavy industry experience
* 3 years training or other equivalent Educational experience
* Leadership experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook is required.
* Ability to manage/organize time and conflicting priorities in a fast paced, demanding environment.
* Ability to obtain MSHA blue card (MSHA Instructors Certification)
* Good interpersonal skill is required
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
* Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Working Conditions & Location
* The position is located at the CC&V site with elevations up to 10,600 ft above sea level.
* The work schedule is 4 on,3 days off
* Position may be required to travel Nationally and Internationally.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $82,160- 97,565. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
