Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related social services field. Certification in the Fundamentals of HIV Prevention/Counseling and/or HIV Testing and Counseling. Work experience in social services or HIV prevention, testing and counseling.
Duties/Responsibility
* Provides HIV/AIDS/STD prevention services, testing and counseling, and behavioral interventions.
* Performs HIV and STD testing ensuring that all laboratory forms are correctly completed, and accurate results are provided to all clients. Ensures quality standards for testing and counseling are maintained through the completion of appropriate documentation and compliance standards.
* Helps to identify specific settings or venues in which high-risk populations can be accessed.
* Coordinates outreach activities and special community events related to the program.
