- Undergraduate and graduate degrees (M.Div or equivalent) preferred. The graduate degree must be from a school accredited by the Association of Theological Schools.
- Experience as a Lead Pastor or assistant pastor in a growing church setting.
- A spiritually, emotionally, and relationally mature believer, who has a calling to be a Lead Pastor of a local body of believers
- Believes in the priesthood and ministry of all believers, including the empowerment and release of female staff members in all areas of pastoral leadership (preaching, teaching, discipleship of the church body, etc.)
- Must be accredited/licensed/ordained with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, or able to meet the standard for accreditation, licensing, and ordination with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
- Full agreement and alignment with the doctrinal statement and distinctiveness of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the mission, vision, and the core values of the church.
- Must be committed to lead a prayer-centric church that always seeks the Holy Spirit and God's divine will in all activities.

Connected to the Holy Spirit, he regularly provides wise biblical counsel for a variety of spiritual and emotional needs. Like Jesus, he disciples, empowers and multiplies new leaders from our church community. Our Lead Pastor is also our Head Elder and is dutiful with God's resources and the wise stewardship of our church.Our Lead Pastor will be able to clearly articulate the doctrinal distinctiveness of the C&MA, including the C&MA's position on the ministry/filling/gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the C&MA's understanding of healing for today. The Lead Pastor will be accountable and in alignment to the District Superintendent of the Metro District of the CMA and will work collaboratively with the Executive Board.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities of the Lead Pastor will be carried out in the context of the staff team and ministry leaders. Our intent is that the Lead Pastor will give leadership and oversight and delegate responsibility as appropriate. These essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Executive Leadership (under the guidance of the Holy Spirit):
Salaried, exempt position. Hours: expected approx 50 hours/wk., 5-day work week including Sunday being mandatory. Provide primary oversight to the staff team, including leading, planning and execution of staff meetings. Holding regularly scheduled individual meetings with staff members and overseeing staff evaluations. Establish, in conjunction with the Board members, measurable objectives for all ministry staff in keeping with the purposes of the church. Conduct regular performance assessments of pastoral staff members and ensure regular performance assessments of all administrative staff members. Serve as the Chairman of the board unless he determines for someone to serve as co or Chair in which he would serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of the church, giving direction and oversight to the church in a collaborative manner with the Board Not necessary to be included here. Work in collaboration with the Board to ensure all departments/ministries are in alignment with the mission/vision/core values. Work in collaboration with the Board in the hiring of all pastoral and administrative staff, proposing staff adjustments, and overseeing conflict resolution between staff members. Be the person to conduct - either directly or through a Board-Appointed designee - all business and congregational meetings. Work with the Board to coordinate and execute an annual church strategy, annual goals, and review of ministry objectives. Be the primary contact with the district office to ensure that the church is and remains in compliance and strong relationship with the C&MA. It is a small, 60+ year old church with a loving community, centered around Biblical preaching and contemporary worship. The Building can be home to as many as 350 parishioners per service, average church attendance is approximately 100. We are looking for a lead pastor to join our strong lay leadership and ministerial team and partner with us to grow our body. Sunday morning services are at 10:30 am. 20-30 minutes of contemporary worship. Announcements,greetings, and in-person offering and dismissal of children. Children of all ages are present during worship. Delivery of message 25-45 minutes of preaching. Closing with worship and benediction. During most Sundays, there is a gathering for up to 1 hour after service for coffee and fellowship. We have a prayer time before service from 10am. We rent the church to a Korean Christian ministry on Sunday afternoon.We are situated in the town of Armonk, and close to I-684. Our church draws attendees from a 30-40 mile radius. It is a very wealthy, primarily caucasian, community and aspects of the community can be transient, as both Pepsi and IBM have corporate headquarters in town.However, our surrounding neighborhoods, including Mt. Kisco,have a thriving Latino community which has resulted in growth in our church and a dedication to Spanish ministry.Armonk is also a common home to New York City Commuters who travel into the city from North White Plains train station about 5 miles south of the town.
