Job DetailsJob Details:We are actively seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Lead Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of payroll, complying with various tax laws, and maintaining detailed records. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The Permanent Lead Payroll Specialist will also play a critical role in developing and implementing payroll policies and systems.Responsibilities:1. Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing including, but not limited to, the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.2. Prepare and file all necessary IRS forms, including W-2s.3. Maintain a strong understanding of taxable benefits and apply this knowledge in the calculation and distribution of employee compensation.4. Use Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, maintain data, and generate reports.5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.6. Develop, implement, and manage payroll policies and procedures.7. Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.8. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise in the payroll process.9. Provide support and training to the payroll team.10. Stay current with changes in payroll and tax laws.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, with a focus on tax and benefit obligations.3. Extensive knowledge and experience with IRS Form W-2s.4. Strong understanding of taxable benefits.5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.6. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team.8.
