Marsh Furniture Company is a leader in manufacturing of Kitchen and Bath cabinetry. The company was founded in 1906 manufacturing furniture for the kitchen. Today Marsh produces Marsh Cabinets; a line of traditional face frame cabinetry in both standard and full overlay door styles in Oak, Birch, Maple, and Cherry species. Marsh Cabinets are sold through independent kitchen and bath dealers across the eastern half of the United States.SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Lead directs and assists in the work activities of department employees. The Lead performs a variety of manufacturing assignments, and job tasks, as needed and depending upon department, of all positions within his/her department.Responsibilities:• Oversee the operation of all of assembly department employees.• Assist the employees in safely and efficiently setting up, operating, and maintaining all machinery and equipment that the dept is responsible for.• Check work with tape measure, caliper, and gauges to ensure quality and accuracy.• Report any problems or damages immediately to supervisor.• Read daily/weekly production schedule to satisfy production requirements.• Assume the duties of any absent position as needed.• Assign employees in the department to particular jobs as needed.• Maintain certification in all company job and safety training required for this position.• Keep area clean. Follow good housekeeping.• Lead by good example.• Operate forklift as required.• Have a working knowledge of all parts used in the process.• Understand Marsh Quality standards and be able to convey to group.• Ability to communicate with assembly team during stand-meetings as it pertains to SQDC.Skills:

RequirementsEducation and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or College degree plus• Previous experience as leader (prefer manufacturing background) that supervises a work cell area.
