Lead Person - Electronic Assembly Location: Boonton, NJ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Pay Rate: $31.20/hour (base pay of $24.00 + 30% increase during contract) Note: Contract pay includes a 30% temporary increase to account for benefits not provided during the contract period. Upon conversion, pay reverts to the base rate of $24.00/hour, but benefits (including PTO and holiday pay) will begin. Position Summary: The Leadperson - Electronic Assembly oversees the workflow of an electronic assembly work cell, including SMT, harnesses, sensors, hand/final assembly, selective solder, and rework. This role ensures production schedules, quality standards, and ISO 9001 compliance are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee daily work in the assembly department.
- Monitor workflows and notify supervisors of delays or deviations.
- Manage and maintain physical work cell inventory.
- Complete all job-related paperwork, including labor and inventory documentation.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are used correctly and maintained in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and ISO 9001-compliant work environment.
- Provide support to assemblers and coordinate team cross-training as needed.
- Assist with rework and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in electronic assembly.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and follow schematics, drawings, and work instructions.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in PC use.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively.
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Mini Market, Kanban, and Pours systems.
