The Opportunity:
As the Technical Lead for Data Platform Engineering, you will oversee the design, architecture, and development of a robust platform that prioritizes scalability, security, and reliability. Partnering closely with ML engineers and data scientists, you'll play a critical role in optimizing backend services that drive AI-powered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop a scalable, secure platform while ensuring robust performance.
- Create tools to validate AI-driven insights against clinical benchmarks and standards.
- Dedicate 75% of your time to hands-on coding and code reviews, primarily in Python.
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to refine backend systems and facilitate seamless deployments.
- Resolve platform challenges, particularly in areas like monitoring, authentication, and streaming.
- Develop an integrated platform for monitoring AI solutions and assessing their clinical impact.
- Support the growth of the engineering team through mentorship and recruitment efforts.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in backend development using Python, with a focus on building scalable and reliable systems.
- Proficiency with cloud tools like GCP, AWS, Azure
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerization tools.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with Gen AI, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Llama Index), and LLMs.
- Proven ability to take full ownership of platform development and ensure its continuous enhancement.
