**Job Title: Lead Preschool Teacher**

**Location:** New Hope, PA

**Position Type:** Part-Time (Monday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM) with potential for additional hours

**Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our close-knit teaching family at our small private preschool. As the Lead Preschool Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant and nurturing educational environment for our young learners. This position requires creativity, dedication, and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in children ages [e.g., 3 to 4 years old].

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Curriculum Development:**

- Design, implement, and evaluate engaging, developmentally appropriate, and child-centered lesson plans that align with Pennsylvania early learning standards.

- Integrate various teaching methods, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and play-based learning to cater to diverse learning styles and interests.

2. **Classroom Management:**

- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and supports emotional and social development.

- Establish and uphold classroom rules and routines to create a structured yet flexible learning atmosphere.

3. **Parent Engagement:**

- Foster strong, professional relationships with parents and families through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and participation in school events.

- Provide guidance and support to parents regarding child development & progress, and encourage their involvement in the preschool community.

4. **Collaboration and Teamwork:**

- Work collaboratively with other teaching staff to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing the learning experience.

- Supervise and mentor the assistant teacher, providing guidance and support to ensure effective classroom management and instructional practices.

5. **Professional Development:**

- Stay current with early childhood education trends, best practices, and state regulations through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.

**Desired Qualifications:**

- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.

- 1-2 years of experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood setting.

- Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with both children and adults.

- Creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards teaching and learning.
