About David Energy David Energy is creating a new kind of power company. Traditional Retail Electricity Providers (REPs) are outdated, opaque, and painful for customers to engage with. We use software to monitor our customers' real-time energy usage, and we aggregate and analyze that data to maximize the value they get from their energy assets - batteries, EVs, HVAC systems and other distributed energy resources (DERs) via participation in energy markets. Our mission is to run the grid on clean energy 24/7. About the role We are looking for a lead product designer to help us craft the experiences of our customers across our residential (B2C) and commercial (B2B) product lines. Customers deserve and expect energy delivered alongside intuitive experiences that help them get the most out of their batteries, EVs and smart thermostats, and our design team plays a critical role in delivering those experiences. This role reports to our CTO. In this role, you will
  • Craft intuitive experiences that demystify energy for our customers and help them regain control
  • Conduct research in order to deeply understand our users and their needs

We invite you to apply for this role if you have

  • Ability to deliver in an early-stage startup environment (e.g., proactive ownership, independence in uncertainty, product mindedness)
  • Skills spanning product, interaction, experience and visual design
  • Experience collaborating directly with software engineers and product managers
  • Experience leading user research across stages of the product life cycle
You could be an especially great fit if you have
