Our client, a manufacturing firm of Cranes and heavy equipment, is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in coordinating deliverables, creating and maintaining the budget, measuring team performance against KPI's and providing weekly updates to the chief engineer.Job Title: Lead Project EngineerLocation: Hazelcrest, ILPay: $50-60/hr. plus OT, benefitsKey ResponsibilitiesEstablish the project plan and use it to manage project delivery.Structure and lead the project team.Own the project objectives and deliverables.Communicate project status.Creates and maintains budgets and forecasts requirements with economic justifications linked to project activities.Manage a project to adhere to the Lanco Development Process (LDP) processRequirementsAccredited engineering degree with emphasis in mechanical, industrial, structural, automotive and/or electrical disciplines.A minimum of 5 years work experience in afore mentioned engineering discipline.Minimum of 5 years work experience with cross-functional team collaborationStrong leadership skills with the proven ability to drive projects to completionStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)General knowledge of basic machine design and operation.
