Primary Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Lead will oversee and direct the daily functions of the Inventory Control team. The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for ensuring all items are allocated and assigned proper and adequate locations to maintain accuracy and improve operational efficiencies. The Inventory Control Lead will be the DC contact for all audits and any inquiries regarding Inventory related issues.

Essential Functions

* Lead a team of inventory control associates. Leadership responsibilities include training and scheduling employees, as well as ensuring policies and procedures are followed for quality and accuracy of inventory.

* Responsible for collaborating with Supply Chain and Sales Teams to create, implement, and maintain effective procedures for inventory control.

* Ensure that products received are compliant with KeHE's quality standards by maintaining accuracy and integrity of product inventory.

* Oversee inventory audits by directing associates to cycle and count inventory on a scheduled basis. This involves arranging stock for better access, counting stock to ensure accuracy of inventory levels, and discarding inventory that may be outdated or no longer available for sale or use.

* Manage and maintain product profiling to ensure that all products are cubed, slotted, and labeled properly.

* Responsible for generating daily queries that identify inventory issues.

* Continuous monitoring of inventory adjustments created by all departments throughout the course of the day to ensure accuracy.

* Schedule inventory adjustment walk offs based on DC set criteria.

* Measure and maintain KPI's as required by management.

* Ensure vendor recalls are processed per the written guidelines found in the Food Safety and Defense manual.

* Other duties and special projects as requested by management.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

* High School diploma or GED required.

* Minimum of one (1) year of previous warehouse experience required.

* Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.) required.

* Must be flexible to work nights and/or weekends.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

* Previous experience using a PC. NTS, AS400 and RF (Radio Frequency) systems experience preferred.

* Contribute and support to the overall goals of the Warehouse Department.

* Takes initiative and works well independently.

* Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.

* Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.

* Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate to high.
