About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead- Receiving to join our team in the Transportation and Warehousing industry. As the Lead- Receiving, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving department and ensuring that all incoming shipments are received, processed, and stored efficiently. You will be expected to maintain accurate inventory records and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the receiving department and ensure that all incoming shipments are received, processed, and stored efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Supervise and train receiving staff to ensure that they are following proper procedures and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations
Skills:As the Lead- Receiving, you will need to have excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage the receiving department and collaborate with other departments. You will also need to have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Additionally, proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite will be essential to maintaining accurate inventory records and communicating effectively with other departments. Finally, experience in a leadership or supervisory role and familiarity with process improvement methodologies will be beneficial in identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize warehouse operations.
