Develops and provides education and support to front line colleagues. Identifies gaps in standard work and creates and implements standard work. Functions as the primary resource for registration, registration regulatory and departmental requirements, performance measures, insurance and other registration-related activities. Works in an emergency department which encompasses varying levels of patient care. Creates and monitors assigned team's schedules daily to ensure adequate coverage.Job DutiesOversees registration performance standards such as work queue productivity, regulatory requirements, registration standard work and identifies areas for improvement.Acts as a primary resource for registration, registration regulatory and department requirements, performance measures, insurance and other registration-related activities.Responsible for orientation, ongoing training and education within assigned registration areas to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper completion of registration requirements.Responsible for daily staffing at multiple location within assigned region and performs registration functions as needed.Develops and implements registration standard work and educates team on updates and new initiatives.Develops department-specific orientation training schedules and orientation record for new colleagues and ensures timely completion.Reviews and updates assigned work queues daily.Collaborates with clinical leaders to ensure timely patient access and other department colleagues to ensure exceptional experiences for our patients and colleagues.Minimum QualificationsAssociate's Degree in healthcare or related field orHigh School Diploma/GED and three years' prior experience in a customer service or other role overseeing work processes.3 years experience in healthcare, customer service, or educational environment overseeing work processes.Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions with ease.Ability to adapt to constant change within an emergency room setting and utilize critical thinking skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, technology, and software applications.Ability to travel to multiple locations.Ability to schedule a large group of colleagues for multiple shifts at many locations.Must be skilled in time management, organization, priority setting, self-directed and remain calm and resilient in a noisy, high-stress environment.Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with diverse patients, families, colleagues and all levels of leadership.DL - Driver's License_PA - State of PennsylvaniaPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in healthcare or related field.Ability to understand medical terminology.Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.Job Description Disclaimer:This position description provides the major duties/responsibilities, requirements and working conditions for the position.
