Lead Residential Care Worker

Maine Behavioral Healthcare provides transitional residential treatment programs to people who experience mental health challenges in an environment that is supportive and encourages continued treatment and community integration. There are 12 programs located between York and Belfast. The Lead Residential Care Worker will be utilized to assist the Residential Supervisor with a number of functions and administrative tasks. Additionally, under the direction of the Residential Supervisor, the Lead provides emotional support, skills training, rehabilitation, and personal supervision for clients in their own homes as defined by the client's community support worker and the client's individual service plan.

Position Highlights:

* Sign-on bonus: Up to $3,000, depending on eligibility

* Base hourly rate: $20.32

Location & Shift:

Rockland, ME

What you will do:

* Maintain the program's schedule and participate in treatment-focused supervision meetings

* Assist and coordinate individuals in activities to reach their treatment goals to successfully transition to a lower level of care.

* Develop a working knowledge of the statewide mental health system and resources.

Responsibilities:

* Engage clients in treatment groups and community integration activities.

* Authorize timesheets and expense reports for Residential Care Workers and Community Rehab staff and submit to payroll in a timely fashion in the absence of the Residential Supervisor

* Oversee all MAR's and medication management

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - What you will need :

* Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other related field is preferred.

* License/Certifications: MHRT-I certification or eligibility to received certification required. MHRT/C certification or eligibility to received certification required. Proof of all certifications required for provisional MHRT-I. Valid driver's license and appropriate level of automobile liability insurance.

Experience: 2+ years' experience working in a residential care setting preferred. 2+ years experience working with a broad spectrum of mentally ill clients desirable.
