preserving the life, health and safety of government personnel and safeguarding Army property, and technologies.* Protects against threats such as: unlawful entry, sabotage, espionage, theft, accidental or willful damage, and destruction on installations.* Guards determine fitness and grant access to those individuals that have met screening requirements and demonstrated a need to access the installation.* Providing Antiterrorism/Force Protection by emergency base closure, active shooter response, execution of random antiterrorism measure, emergency response to an all hazards disaster.* Serves as a Shift Leader who is an assistant to the Guard Shift Supervisor.* Performs installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirement as a guide to access determination for a wide range of unique circumstances.* Conducts Random Inspection Team (RIT) or Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) vehicle searches/inspections.* Inspects containers, personal property, documents on private, commercial and governmental vehicles, exercises tact, courtesy, and firmness in the performance of all force protection duties.* Operates and performs research queries on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) workstation terminal(s) in accordance with (IAW) federal and state incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment* This position requires the completion of a weekends, holidays, or special situations.* This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training.* Appointment to this position is training.* Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.* This position requires an employee wear chemical protection masks, gloves, and protective mask and over garments.* This position requires an incumbent to maintain physical conditioning and pass an annual physical agility test (PAT).* The duties of this position require the
