This position is responsible for both hands-on carpentry work and the coordination of daily activities on-site. - Lead and manage a crew of carpenters and laborers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to timelines.
- Perform hands-on carpentry work, including framing, drywall, flooring, trim, cabinetry, and more for both small and large-scale remodeling and restoration projects.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure that all tasks align with project plans, specifications, and client expectations.
- Oversee all aspects of site work, including demolition, installations, repairs, and modifications to meet high standards of workmanship.
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project plans, ensuring accurate execution and problem-solving on-site as needed.
- Maintain a safe and organized job site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Track and manage project materials and inventory to avoid delays and ensure proper use.
- Provide daily updates and progress reports to Project Managers, communicating any adjustments needed to scope, timeline, or budget.
- Mentor and train less experienced crew members, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Perform additional duties and assist with other projects as assigned by management.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 10+ years of construction carpentry experience, with a strong background in remodeling and restoration work.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction documents accurately.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide timely updates to both team members and clients.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship, adhering to company values, and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience working with various materials and tools in the remodeling and restoration field, including knowledge of safety protocols.
