Job Title: Lead, Software EngineerJob Code: 17577Job Location: Mason OHSchedule: 9/80 Reg Job Description: We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Lead to join our current team to work on the development of our Infrared Camera Systems. This individual will support all phases of the software engineering lifecycle to produce solutions that satisfy a range of customer requirements. Essential Functions: Assists in the planning and execution of large technical projectsApplies software engineering designs and principles throughout the software lifecycleAbility to define requirements and workflows that feed into working software components that meet technical, schedule, and design-to-cost goalsPerform unit, integration, and system testing activitiesCommunicate effectively with team members throughout the organizationSupport bid and proposal activities including cost and schedule estimationProvide guidance, coaching, and training to employeesMake significant improvements in processes, systems, or productsProvide inputs into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have a measurable impact on business or functional resultsGenerate technical documentation in support of software releases Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar and 9 years of prior relevant experience or graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Experience using C/C++ to develop embedded softwareAbility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance from the U.S. Government which requires U.S. Citizenship.Experience with Real-Time Operating SystemsExperience writing low level software such as drivers and Board Support Packages (BSPs)Basic knowledge of hardware design, circuits, schematics, & test equipmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Additional Skills:Experience with Communication Protocols such as Ethernet, RS422, 1553, GigE Vision, CoaXPress, and Camera LinkExperience with Infrared TechnologyExperience working with other programming languages such as C#, MATLAB, Python, etc.Experience with Subversion for software version controlExperience with Windows and Linux Development EnvironmentsExperience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and basic lab equipmentExperience in the Defense, Space, Aerospace, or similar industriesBasic understanding of the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM)
