Join our team. Make a difference. Job Description: The Lead Technologist for Radiology/CT will include the following responsibilities:
- Functions as Team Leader to coordinate patient schedules and work assignments to assure timely performance of examinations for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients.
- Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of staff work schedules.
- Collaborates with supervisor on assessments of employee performance and disciplinary concerns.
- Participates in the interview/selection process of new hires.
- Participates in policy development, revisions, and enforcement relating to diagnostic radiology operations as required.
- Coordinates communications between staff and supervisor relating to workflow, protocols, and patient care.
- Participates in training for staff relating to radiation safety, equipment operation, and clinical competencies.
- Oversees and participates in quality assurance / quality control activities as required.
- Maintains Radiation Safety badges and high dose follow ups.
- Assumes role of staff radiographer or CT Technologist as required.
QualificationsJob Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography.
- Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
- Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count Certification/ ACLS Certification.
- Three years minimum experience as a staff radiographer required. Prior charge tech experience preferred.
Exerting 20 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
