Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead UX/UI Designer for a contract role through the end of 2025. This is a pivotal leadership position that involves mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, facilitating workshops, participating in leadership meetings, and ensuring the quality of UX/UI deliverables. This role will also involve some hands-on design work. Responsibilities:
- Mentorship and Coaching: Provide timely feedback and assign tasks based on team members' strengths and growth areas.
- Relationship Building & Collaboration: Foster smooth collaboration with other disciplines and maintain a close working relationship with product/project leadership.
- Facilitation & Active Participation: Plan and facilitate design thinking and discovery workshops. Actively participate in product/project leadership meetings and other collaborative sessions.
- Deliverable Quality: Uphold the highest design standards, ensuring that designs are based on data and research. Contribute hands-on design work and create delightful, data-driven, accessible solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Prior experience in a Team Lead role, leading a UX/UI workstream with multiple team members.
- Experience facilitating design workshops, sprint planning, participating in leadership meetings, working with product owners/product managers.
- Proficiency in using research, data, and other design thinking methods to solve UX/UI problems.
- Strong preference for someone with experience in a digital marketing agency and/or digital consulting firm or must have prior client-facing experience.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Portfolio demonstrating work across UX and UI.
