Overview

Part of the Marketing team, you are the driving force behind bringing our products in front of current and potential customers. You will work closely with product development and analytics teams to learn not only about the range of products we create, but why customers gravitate towards certain product types and styles. You will develop a variety of materials to bring our products to life and maintain and strengthen our brand reputation in the market.

Responsibilities

The Leader, Merchandising Toilets will collaborate across Channels, Brands, & Supply to provide Category alignment and direction to ensure LIXIL Americas portfolio, resources and efforts are optimized to most efficiently deliver the maximum profit. The focus of this role will be on continuous Market Share Growth, Margin Expansion and Improving Predictability.

Responsible Category New Product Development:

  • NPD volume and pricing assumptions
  • Provide key customer inputs into category product roadmap planning and strategy
  • Track and evaluate Category NPD realization

Key Customer Planning & Sell-in:

  • New product sell-in and execution planning
  • Yearly activation & promotion planning to drive strategic measures including market share expansion
  • New product needs including PLR and recommended category portfolio assortment planning
  • Price/volume mix planning

Product Phase In & Out Planning:

  • Expand margin and portfolio efficiency via discontinuation discipline including SKU productivity through annual SKU rationalization process
  • Excess & obsolete management
  • Supply planning coordination for improved efficiency and availability
  • Plan NPI and discontinuations with sales team from old to new including key customers

Manage Market and sell-thru pricing:

  • Manage omni-brand/channel/category gross pricing strategies
  • Establish pricing policies including Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) & Minimum Advertised Price (MAP)
  • Price floor management
  • Develop Category Promotional Guidelines that minimize channel conflict and maximize margin
  • Establish consistent pricing measures and process across channels and brands
  • Price increase planning and sell-in materials
  • Responsible for price realization measurement reporting

Measure & Evaluate margin change:

  • Responsible for total LIXIL Americas annual Category (Fixtures/Fittings) Customer Margin targets (USD/%).
  • Track actual results vs. plans and use fact-based margin analytics to uncover root cause of variances.
  • Work with Sales to identify corrective action plans.

Coach and develop to build team capabilities and career growth.

Qualifications

Education required and/or years of work experience:

Bachelor degree in finance, marketing, business or related field.

7 years of relevant work experience:

Preferred:

MBA preferred.

Hiring Range

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $115,000- $199,000 annually. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

Other Compensation (if applicable): This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.
