Job Description:

CORE is seeking a Lean Construction Professional assigned to the Midwest team in Illinois and Indiana. The Lean Construction Professional's primary role is to lead the implementation of the Last Planner System (LPS) across multiple construction projects using Lean methodology to promote CORE's best practices using safety, quality, schedule, and cost while maintaining relationships with our trade partners and clients. These projects are often for various institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems, etc. The projects may range from $100K to over $100 million in construction costs.

The employee's primary responsibility will be for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:

* Lead boot camps and Pull Plan Sessions - train and develop project teams in the adoption and execution of the Last Planner System (LPS) to ensure successful project design across multiple projects.

* Work with project teams to identify a Lean project schedule and establish a process flow conducive to trade partner productivity and customer needs.

* Support the project team's efforts to work with the designer and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions.

* Collaborate with project teams to assess current planning processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

* Integrate Takt Planning processes into LPS implementation to optimize process flow and project sequencing.

* Develop and maintain project-level LPS implementation plans and schedules.

* Monitor and track the effectiveness of LPS implementation, identifying areas for refinement and adjustment.

* Provide on-going guidance and support to the project teams and ensure the adoption of LPS and Lean Construction principles.

* Act as a champion for Lean Construction principles within the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and actively participate in the organization's ongoing Lean journey.

* Promote Quality and Safety through the use and application of Lean Methodology.

This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.

* Minimum of 8 years construction experience.

* Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing using Last Planner System.

* Understanding of ASI's RFI's and Material Submittals.

* Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and Procore (TouchPlan is a plus).

* Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods.

* Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team both internally and externally with a strong commitment to client service.

* Proven ability to effectively lead change management.

* Must be willing to travel throughout Illinois & Indiana to visit job sites on a weekly basis, with overnight stays as needed.

* A valid Driver's License.
