We are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement (Lean) Engineer to join our team in Vicksburg, MS. Your Role at Batesville: As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for leading Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, enhance product quality, and drive cost savings. What You'll Do:
- Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Identify and prioritize areas for improvement across production, logistics, and maintenance using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Data Analysis & KPI Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), defect rates, waste reduction, and cycle times to measure improvements.
- Facilitate Process Improvements: Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective actions to address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to achieve CI objectives.
- Develop & Maintain Standards: Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for operational excellence.
- Train & Mentor Staff: Provide training on Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies to build a continuous improvement mindset across the organization.
- Project Reporting: Prepare and present reports on CI initiatives to management, highlighting project outcomes and future opportunities.
- Support Change Management: Drive cultural change by promoting a proactive, data-driven approach to process improvement.

What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing, or process optimization roles.
- Experience with KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
Leadership:
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives from concept to completion.
Analytical Thinking:
- Skilled in identifying trends, analyzing data, and recommending actionable improvements.
Communication:
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to engage employees and stakeholders at all levels.
Adaptability:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
Initiative:
- Self-starter with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Nice to Haves:
- Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools and methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in change management and promoting cultural transformation is a plus.
