Learning and Development Facilitator:
The Wagner Companies, a member of The Baillie Group, is hiring a Learning and Development Facilitator to support our manufacturing operations across the eastern United States. Under the direction and supervision of the Learning and Development Manager, the Learning and Development Facilitator will deliver training sessions via an online platform or in person as needed. This role will also carry out duties of training planning, training maintenance, and user and content administration within the Learning Management System (LMS). This role will support the L&D Director in selecting and managing professional development content that will be available on the LMS through an outsourced vendor. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to communicate clearly and completely, work habits that demonstrate organizational and time management skills, and a positive and friendly attitude. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of L&D experience in manufacturing, be based in the Midwest or Northeast, and willing to travel to our manufacturing facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capable of delivering up to a dozen or more training sessions weekly, according to an established training calendar.
- Review and update training materials to ensure up-to-date, accurate, and relevant content.
- Administer duties within the LMS, not limited to but including:
Creating users and assigning courses to users
Grading homework
Completion certificates
Survey data
Reports
Troubleshooting
- Conduct dynamic and motivating training sessions that hold the attention of the audience, stimulate interest in the subject, and engage learners.
- Participate in selecting outsourced professional development content for launch on the LMS.
- Strive to be savvy of organizational hierarchy and business processes to ensure delivery of accurate and intelligent industry examples.
- Consistently communicate to learners the importance and value of employee development and the company's support of the initiative.
- Present a positive perspective, attitude, and outlook to peers and trainees.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of training and facilitation experience, or related skills, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in soft skills facilitation.
- Familiar with traditional and modern job training methods, trends, and techniques.
- Experience delivering training content using remote tools and resources (Teams, Zoom, GoogleMeet)
- Experience with an LMS (Learning Management System)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must have a passion for people and purpose.
- Attention to detail work ethic with strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of employees, be flexible, demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude, and approach problems with both sound judgment and creative possibilities.
Job Conditions and Expectations and Benefits:
- Ideal candidates will be located on site in NYS. This position can be remote/hybrid position.
- Ability to adeptly move within a production environment, understanding the associated hazards and ensuring that all required safety measures are always followed.
- Occasional travel is required to company locations within the organization.
Initial onsite training required
- Competitive Pay (commensurate with experience and qualifications). Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: 65-80K.
