Learning and Development Specialist - South Burlington, VTVermont Federal Credit Union is searching for Learning and Development Specialist based out of the Kennedy Drive Operations Center. Engaging and enthusiastic, the Learning and Development Specialist designs, develops and implements a comprehensive training and development program that serves the needs of all team members at Vermont Federal Credit Union.Job Description:
- Conduct training program, on-the-job training and workflows including administrative functions, utilization of systems, general industry knowledge and product knowledge.
- Creates course content, handouts, job aids, evaluation/measurement tools, and test criteria for training programs, ensuring that all materials are consistent with adult learning principles.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Assesses performance during classroom training and will provide follow-up consultation with managers regarding attendance/participation, strengths, and coaching opportunities.
- Coordinates agenda development, package preparation and documentation of employee training and all staff training if applicable.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and collaborate with team to improve delivery and overall program. Work to constantly improve training delivery.
- Research, design and develop courses, including recommendations for change. Maintain and act as administrator of learning management systems.
- Work effectively as a team member of HR and Training to innovate and implement changes and make improvements.
- Enhance the productivity of employees and their departments through strategically designed training programs.
Requirements:
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
- Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence others.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Requires knowledge of training techniques and methods.
- Effective interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
