Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition Overview:The Learning and Development Specialist at the Santa Fe Recovery Center (SFRC) plays a key role in fostering a culture of learning and growth. This position is responsible for designing and delivering engaging orientation and onboarding programs, coordinating and managing training initiatives, and ensuring compliance with staff training requirements. The Learning and Development Specialist serves as the primary liaison with external training providers and oversees the Learning Management System (LMS) to track, manage, and report on training completion and staff competency.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Orientation and Onboarding:
- Develop and facilitate comprehensive orientation sessions for all new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into SFRC's culture and processes.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including initial training schedules, introductions to key personnel, and access to necessary tools and resources.
- Regularly update and enhance orientation materials to reflect organizational changes and best practices.
Training Program Coordination:
- Lead the 90-day training programs for new employees, ensuring alignment with SFRC's policies, procedures, and mission.
- Partner with managers and supervisors to identify training needs and ensure their teams are fully equipped for success.
- Serve as the primary liaison with outsourced training firms to schedule and implement specialized training programs (e.g., clinical competencies, leadership development).
LMS Administration and Reporting:
- Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (Relias) to schedule, assign, and track training courses.
- Monitor staff compliance with required training and follow up with employees and supervisors to address gaps.
- Generate detailed training reports and dashboards for the HR Director and leadership team to assess organizational competency and compliance.
External Vendor Coordination:
- Collaborate with external training partners to deliver high-quality and relevant training programs tailored to SFRC's needs.
- Evaluate and recommend new training providers as necessary, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and values.
Competency Management:
- Develop and maintain a system for tracking employee competencies, ensuring all staff meet required standards for their roles.
- Work with department leaders to identify and address competency gaps through targeted training initiatives.
- Regularly review and update competency frameworks to align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in learning and development, integrating innovative approaches into SFRC's programs.
- Solicit feedback from employees and leaders to continuously improve the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to align training programs with SFRC's strategic goals and workforce development plans.
