This role ensures that new team members receive a thorough introduction to the company's culture, values, and expectations, while also developing critical skills necessary for their roles. Additionally, the Manager will drive continuous improvement of training programs, ensuring they align with both business objectives and team member development needs. A key focus will be to measure the effectiveness of training and engagement efforts, ensuring alignment with compliance and safety requirements while fostering career growth opportunities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Onboarding and Orientation:
    • Lead the design and execution of the team member onboarding experience, ensuring new hires receive necessary company information and basic skills training.
    • Update and enhance the orientation program to reflect the company culture, values, and expectations.
    • Partner with HR and leadership teams to align onboarding with overall talent strategies.
  • Internal Training Program Development:
    • Lead the development and continuous improvement of internal training programs, such as the Controls Academy, Maintenance Academy, and other critical skills programs.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and department heads to identify and address skill gaps within the organization.
    • Ensure training materials are up to date and relevant to industry standards.
  • Training Effectiveness and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain a training effectiveness measurement system to assess the impact and ROI of training programs.
    • Act as the SME for training needs across the organization, guiding leaders on the best training solutions.
    • Ensure training programs meet compliance requirements, including safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory needs.
    • Regularly audit training programs to ensure alignment with company policies and external standards.
  • Career Pathing and Team Member Development:
    • Develop and implement clear career paths, allowing team members to understand what is required to advance within the company.
    • Collaborate with the Team Member Development and Succession teams to create training programs that support professional growth and development.
  • Team Member Engagement:
    • Lead the organization's team member engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's values and mission.
    • Develop and manage the engagement survey strategy, analyzing feedback and leading follow-up actions to improve team member satisfaction and retention.
    • Create and implement meaningful programs to enhance team member engagement, driving morale and motivation.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align learning, training, and engagement initiatives with broader organizational goals.
    • Continuously seek out new methods and technologies to improve training delivery and engagement strategies.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on training and team member experience, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Train and coach managers, leaders, and employees on topics such as leadership, technical skills, compliance, and soft skills.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Other activities as requested and/or required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or a related field.
TRAVEL: Travel Required: Yes KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing training programs, onboarding, and engagement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, safety, and regulatory training requirements.
  • Experience with training effectiveness measurement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skill.
